Basic information site for a janitorial company.

M&M Cleaning Services

Local janitorial company needed a web presence.
They did not have a lot of informmation to fill in, so this took a bit of interviewing and some creative wordsmithing to put in the initial content.

Their main goal was to have a professional site to add some credibility to their business. With little filler to start, I decided to go with a Joomla template. Easy to customize and was a good way to ensure the owner could update the site content easily as he comes up with more info to provide.

Logo and Menu

The owner of the business had a graphic artist design a logo for him. I used the logo and specific color palette to design a professional and functional menu bar.

Implementing this into a Joomla template was easy once the scale was managed.

Stock Photos

do like doing a lot of my own photo work, however we decided that open-licensed stock photos were much more attractive and protected his customers' privacy.

This being a Joomla site, means he can easily swap out photos any time he wants.

Contact Form

We implemented an easy to use contact form to protect their personal information from spam and other intrusive potentials. It also added another professional touch

Research

Since this didn't have a specific user (or use) in mind, most of my research was on his business and business practices. I didn't have a big test group to test functionality or likes/dislikes. What I did have was a lot of competitive auditing to do. This industry has a lot of competition and I believe that having a web presence does give him a small boost since so many of his competitors don't.

Marketing

Website took less than two weeks to implement and make iterations to make the site to the owner's liking

Afterwards; a brief training session so he could maintain it himself.

After the site was complete, the owner contracted me to design matching business cards and tri-fold flyers he could pass out.
This was a quick and easy project that fit the needs of a small start-up business.
